What do we mean when we say New Street is intentionally small?
This sounds rather counter-intuitive, right?
Most businesses are meant to grow, to become large. The entrepreneur is supposedly always focused on bigger and better ... on expansion.
This is the mantra of Wall Street and venture capital. Always more - more clients, more transactions, more staff, more locations, more products, more revenue, more profits.
But more and bigger are not necessarily always better. In fact, they are often quite the opposite.
Small, as they saying goes, is beautiful.
We pride ourselves on being small. Human-sized.
We intend to stay that way.
Our ambition is to serve the community by delivering quality publishing in paper, digital, and audio formats. Our ambition is also to make a decent, well-earned living for ourselves while also providing viable, fair revenue streams for our content partners. And, as well, our ambition is to remain agile - benefiting from the new digital technologies which allow enterprises of all shapes and sizes to ...
Well, we almost used the word compete. But that is not our game. We're not in competition with anybody. We're just doing good and worthy work, pricing it fairly, and hoping you'll like some of it enough to buy it.
